Preview Sam Smith’s Take On “How Will I Know” From BBC Radio 2’s “Sounds Of The 80s”

We first heard British soul singer and songwriter Sam Smith cover Whitney Houston’s “How Will I Know” during a performance for SiriusXM Hits 1 earlier this year. Now, we can hear it in all its studio glory. There really isn’t much difference between the studio and live version simply because his voice is so utterly flawless.

Sam’s take on the song is our latest tantalizing taste of BBC Radio 2’s forthcoming “Sounds Of The 80s” compilation. The album, which features new cover versions of tracks made famous in the ’80s, boasts performances from Texas, Katie Melua, Dido, Kylie Minogue, Dolly Parton, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and more. BBC Radio 2 will release “Sounds of the 80s” on November 10.
