Lisa Stansfield Reveals New Album Tracklisting on Facebook

Lisa Stansfield has posted the tracklisting for the follow-up to her 2004 album The Moment on Facebook. The album, which will be her 7th studio release, is pertinently titled Seven. As I mentioned a few days ago, Stansfield once again worked with her long-time songwriting partner and husband, Ian Devaney, on the record. No word on when the album will receive a release in the United States, but I will keep an eye out for that information. You can listen to the lead single from the LP here.

Lisa Stansfield is back, y’all! Lisa has premiered her brand new single “Can’t Dance”, the lead single from her upcoming seventh studio album, aptly titled Seven. For the LP, Stansfield once again worked with her long-time songwriting partner and husband, Ian Devaney.

There’s no denying Lisa Stansfield’s immense talent, which has been brightly showcased on so many of her previous singles: “All Around the World,” “Change,” and “I’m Leavin’.” So how does “Can’t Dance” stand up against her previous work? Fortunately, it can stand its ground rather well. While Stansfield’s controlled performance demonstrates why she has been able to set herself apart from her peers, “Can’t Dance” is also a testament to Lisa’s ability to craft a catchy, memorable song. It’s not going to set any airplay records. But it’s a damn good single, nonetheless.
