Everyone’s favorite Spice Girl (Geri, of course!) is back with a music video for her new DNA produced single, “Half Of Me.” The playful music video is a low-budget affair, but still fun to watch; especially if you’re into bears. As I said on Twitter a few days ago, you’re either going to love or hate this song. I definitely fall into the love category. ”Half of Me,” her first single in eight years, is only available in Australia, but you can find it using alternative methods. Wink. Anyway, check out the music video below. You can also read my review of the song here.

I’ve always thought Ida Corr was one of the most underrated pop singers of our day. Sure, the Danish vocalist has had several brushes with mainstream American radio, including the massive 2007 dance hit “Let Me Think About It” with Fedde le Grand, but she has so much more to offer. Corr has a fantastic voice, and her music is always light years ahead of what you’ll hear on current radio. So when she returns with something new, it’s always something to truly be excited about.

Set over gritty, dirty beat, “I Found Her,” Ida’s brand new single, is another shining example of her deep understanding of pop music and what it takes to make a unique, memorable song. Sonically, the track is propelled by a consistent rhythmic melody and an unforgettable hook. Don’t let “I Found Her” fool you though, there’s a positive message just below the slick production. It’s a song about finding yourself and accepting all sides of who you are. It’s something we all hope to fully grasp one day: true happiness comes from within. “Taking my doubts to the graveyard, hoping that nobody will find them. I found her hiding in my heartache,” she sings. “I’m so glad I found her.” Both atmospheric and poetic, “I Found Her” is a journey well worth taking.

“I Found Her” is taken from Ida Corr’s forthcoming album, Corr Values, which drops worldwide on October 28th by Lifted House. “I Found Her” is out now on iTunes.

Robbie Williams is back with a new music video for his single “Go Gentle”. The track is the first to be lifted from his forthcoming studio album, Swings Both Ways, out November 18th. The album features collaborations with original American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, Lily Allen, Michael Bublé, Olly Murs and out musician Rufus Wainwright.

Speaking about the album, Robbie says, “First of all I wanted to do a Swing album, because I wanted to do a Swing album. I always knew I’d do another and I think now is the perfect time to do it. I’m enjoying show-biz and I’m enjoying my life and my understanding of where I am now is that there needs to be an event every time I bring out a record. The album this time is a definite ode and a loving glance towards a period on the planet that I was never invited to ‘coz I wasn’t there…I wanted to be, which I feel still very strongly linked to.”

Adding, “Going in I planned it to be very similar to the last one, and then I realized – that’s actually not what I wanted. It’s different – it’s not all covers, I had some songs that I wanted the world to hear and check out and maybe become part of the fabric of their lives, if I’m lucky enough, that I’ve had a hand in writing. So it’s very very similar to the last one, and very different – and hopefully I’m off to romance the world!”

“Go Gentle” will be released on November 11th, but you can check out the music video below. The clip was filmed in downtown Los Angeles and shows Robbie “sailing” down the streets as captain of a ship.

19-year old Cuba, Missouri native Linnea has released her brand new single, “I’m Bad”, in the United States. If you’re looking for an incredibly infectious song, look no further. Propelled by a hypnotic melody, the beat-driven “I’m Bad” weaves and wraps itself around your brain, and while it does at times sound like a distant cousin to M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes”, the track does have its own distinctive sound. The melody, perhaps the catchiest I’ve heard all year, surges with pure, undiluted energy. The result is a catchy pop track – the sort of song you could easily obsess over. Are you going to put it down as one of your all-time favorites? Probably not, but there is nothing wrong with having a little fun now.

You can download “I’m Bad” on iTunes now.

I think that one of the most difficult tasks an artist or band can undertake is covering a song and making it feel like their own. Most of the time it shouldn’t even be attempted. Luckily for us, English band Bastille has managed to deconstruct Corona’s 1993 single “The Rhythm of the Night” and Snap’s “Rhythm Is a Dancer” and rebuild them into something nothing short of amazing. If I didn’t already know the original versions, I’d swear it was an original Bastille track. Bastille’s version of the song, titled “Of The Night” is stripped to the bare essentials and allows the atmosphere to build. Check out the official music video for the track below.

Iconic French pop star Mylène Farmer has premiered the stunning music video for her latest single, “Monkey Me.” While Farmer doesn’t make an appearance in video, it is still a beautiful visual to accompany the single. The black and white clip was directed by Eric Delmotte & Luc Froehlicher. I’ve always been a fan of Mylène Farmer’s music videos, but she has outdone herself with “Monkey Me.” The video perfectly captures the gloom and doom feeling the directors were going for.

“Monkey Me” is the title track for Farmer’s 2012 album of the same name. The album, which is out now on iTunes, includes the singles “À l’ombre” and “Je te dis tout.”

Former Yazoo frontwoman and musical icon Alison Moyet is back with a music video for her new single “Changeling,” the third to be lifted from her latest studio effort the minutes.

“The video is inspired by a feeling of displacement that Alison described experiencing when she wrote the song,” explains director Cat Botibol. “She found herself looking down at people from a high-up hotel window — feeling strange and like an alien, as they scurried like ants around the city streets. I flipped this on its head and shot Alison singing on her own, underneath the city in the vaults under Waterloo station. The crowds of people are represented in a projected world, casting light and shadow onto Alison. I brought the choreographer Ann Pidcock on board to work with Alison to move her body into awkward, angular shapes that took influence from the jerkiness of the track. We took some styling and lighting references from David Lynch’s ‘Eraserhead’ to further accentuate the feeling of displacement.”

“Changeling” will be released on October 14th via Cooking Vinyl.
