German band Tokio Hotel has premiered the music video for their new single “Love Who Loves You Back.” The track, out now on iTunes, serves as the lead single from their forthcoming studio album, Kings of Suburbia, available on all digital platforms in the U.S. this Tuesday, October 7, as well as physically in-stores on November 11 via Los Angeles-based De-Code LTD. The provocative music video for “Love Who Loves You Back” has taken off virally, receiving an average of 2,000 views per minute.
For their third studio effort, Kings of Suburbia, Tokio Hotel – twin brothers Bill (lead singer) and Tom Kaulitz (guitar, backing vocals), Georg Listing (bass) and Gustav Schafer (drums) – worked with an eclectic group of producers and were influenced by top DJs they’d see at L.A.’s hottest clubs. But for the first time in their career, the Kaulitz brothers handled the majority of the studio work, with Tom stepping to the forefront, expanding his sonic repertoire to include not just the guitar, but piano, drums and synthesizers.
“With this album, everything is exactly the way we want it, and I feel like this is the first time it’s that way,” Bill says. “We did everything we wanted; it’s not like somebody wrote a song that I have to sell. This is 100 percent what we wanted to do. It feels just right!”
