24-year-old country/pop singer Taylor Swift is back with a brand new music video for her new single, “Shake It Off.” The song, which is the lead single from her forthcoming studio album “1989″, features production work from Max Martin and Shellback. Swift revealed in a Yahoo! Live Stream just moments ago that “1989″ will be a pure pop record that was inspired by the final year of the decade of excess and greed.
“I really loved the chances they were taking. I loved how bold it was,” she said during the live stream. “It was, apparently, a time of limitless potential. The idea of endless possibility was kind of a theme in the last year of my life.”
Swift will release “1989″, which was named after the year of her birth, on October 27th via Big Machine Label Group. “Shake It Off” is out now on iTunes!
