Jared Braden A healthy obsession with pop music!Singer-songwriter Tamia has landed a record deal with Def Jam records. Tamia, perhaps best known for her 2001 hit “Stranger in My House”, posted the news on Instagram, saying: “Let me introduce you to my new family #DEFJAM #wegotthis #newmusic.” The Def Jam roster includes a range of artists from Frank Ocean to August Alsina to Big Sean, Jhene Aiko and 2 Chainz.
Tamia has scored several US Top 40 hits including “Missing You,” “Imagination” “Stranger in My House” and “Into You.” She has released five studio albums; the most recent being Beautiful Surprise (2012). If I had to guess, I’d say her next album will be totally R&B. I guess we can always hope for remixes.
