She may not have won this season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, but Adore Delano, aka Danny Noriega of American Idol season 7, definitely has something to celebrate! The charismatic drag queen has just released the best single to come from any contestant in all six seasons of Drag Race. Adore has a fantastic voice, so it’s really no surprise that her new track, “DTF”, works on every single level. It’s fun, unique, campy and doesn’t take itself too seriously. Honestly, what more can you ask from a pop song? “DTF” is the lead single from Adore’s forthcoming debut album, Till Death Do Us Party, out June 3rd.
“I always wanted to create a hoodrat raunchy song,” Adore Delano says about the song. “’DTF’ is grimy, pop, hood shit. I’m really excited because the sound is unlike anything else out there.” The music video that accompanies “DTF” was directed by Michael Serrato, whose impressive body of work includes the classics “Eating Out: Drama Camp” and “Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds”.
Adore will have an album release party on June 13th at the Gramercy Theatre in New York where she will perform tracks from Till Death Do Us Party. Tickets for the party will go on sale tomorrow via Live Nation. “DTF” is out now on iTunes.
