The track, out now on iTunes, is also the highest charting debut ever recorded at the Mediabase Hot AC format, coming in at #10. It is the largest one week spin gain ever recorded on Mediabase’s Top 40 and the Hot AC charts.
“Shake It Off,” which was penned by Swift, Max Martin and Shellback, serves as the lead-off single from her forthcoming album, 1989 [Big Machine Records], available in stores and via digital retailers October 27, 2014.
