It looks like Madonna might be gearing up to release a new studio album as early as next year, reports Billboard. According to the music magazine, a representative has confirmed that Madonna plans on releasing a new album in 2015.
When Billboard asked Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, about Diplo’s involvement with the new record, he replied: She’s currently in the studio with Diplo and having a lot of fun.” You night recall back in June when Diplo confirmed that a total of seven songs were recorded during the sessions: “‘We ended up writing 7 songs together. One of the songs we wrote is fucking great. It’s called ‘Bitch, I am Madonna’.”
So far, we know the still reigning Queen of Pop has been working on new music with Swedish DJ, remixer, and record producer Avicii, Los Angeles-based DJ/producer Diplo, Ariel Rechtshaid, Toby Gad, MoZella, and Natalia Kills. Though this is an exciting roster of talent, it’s unknown if any of the music she has been working on with these artists will in fact end up on her new album.
Madonna’s last studio album, MDNA, came last year. The record, which debuted at number one, becoming her eighth album to top the Billboard 200 chart, spawned several singles: “Give Me All Your Luvin’,” “Girl Gone Wild” and “Turn Up The Radio.”
