Pet Shop Boys will begin recording their next studio album in November, according to a brief statement that was posted on their official website earlier today. According to reports, the album will find the iconic synthpop duo reuniting with three-time Grammy-winning British producer Stuart Price, the man behind their last studio album, Electric (2013). Electric, which was met with critical acclaim, peaked at number twenty-six on the US Billboard 200.
To be honest, I am not sure how I feel about the PSB’s working with Price on their new album. Electric had its moments, but in my opinion it wasn’t as solid as their earlier work. Actually, if I am being completely honest, I have to admit that their last two records have left me feeling underwhelmed.
