The Top 125 Singles of the 90’s!

The decade of grunge, gangsta rap and the Spice Girls. I am, of course, talking about the ‘90s. The decade served as a launching pad for many pop artists and bands that are still churning out music today: Mariah Carey, Garbage, and Joan Osborne.  It was also a decade that was also littered with its fair share of one hit one wonders.

The ‘90s hold a special place in my heart because that was the decade when I got my first summer job and earned enough money to fund my insatiable love of pop music. I can’t tell you how many trips to Wherehouse Music I made throughout those ten years, I can only imagine that it would be in the thousands. For me, the ‘90s were a period of time that nourished my love of pop music and helped to shape me into the man I am today.

Some songs on this list below are considered classics and some are dismissed as just novelty pop songs, but every track is special to me. When it came to picking my favorites from the ‘90s, I had to edit and edit again. It was actually more difficult than I had initially expected. After countless revisions, I am comfortable enough to share with you my top 125 singles from the ’90s.  As with any list of this nature, it is all subjective, based on my own personal taste. I tried to find links to iTunes for each single, but some aren’t available digitally.
