Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Kelis is readying her 6th album, Food, due out April 28, 2014, reports Idolator. The album, which is being released courtesy of UK indie label Ninja Tune, will feature production work from TV On The Radio’s Dave Sitek. The LP will be spearheaded by the single “Rumble,” which Kelis recently shot a music video for.
“I’m really happy to be partnering with Ninja Tune on my new record,” Kelis said in a statement. “This is the album I’ve wanted to make for a long time and I want the team around me to be as excited and energetic about it as I am. I’m also very happy to be working with some of the most creative people in the industry.”
Kelis released her last studio album, Flesh Tone, in 2010. The album featured the singles “Acapella,” “Scream,” “4th of July (Fireworks)” and “Brave.”
