Former Soft Cell vocalist Marc Almond will kick off the new year with the release of a brand new 4-track EP. The release, titled Tasmanian Tiger, will be released on February 10, 2014 in limited quantities on both colored vinyl and CD. The EP, which includes contributions from Jarvis Cocker (Pulp) and Carl Barat (The Libertines, Dirty Pretty Things), will include the Tony Visconti produced double A-side single “Burn Bright/The Dancing Marquis.”
Speaking about working with Visconti on Tasmanian Tiger, Almond says, “I finally got to record with Tony Visconti in the producer and arranger’s chair; the man whose name features on many of my most favourite and seminal records, records that have been part of the soundtrack of, and that have changed, my life. A wonderful experience that was great fun as well as fascinating and resulted in some great songs.”
