Some of the biggest names in pop music gathered at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles last night for the annual American Music Awards. The night’s biggest winners were One Direction, Iggy Azalea, Katy Perry, and 5 Seconds of Summer.
One Direction won artist of the year, Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” took home the coveted Single of the Year award, Grammy-award winning DJ, producer and songwriter Calvin Harris won in the Electronic Dance Music category, Iggy Azalea’s “The New Classic” won in the Rap/hip-hop album category, and out pop singer Sam Smith won in the Pop/Rock Male Artist category.
